Christmas is coming.. and so are all the calories that come with your favorite confections and concoctions.
Just how many calories are in those tasty treats? We break it down below based on information from the Calorie Control Council.
Eggnog
Cracking open a carton of eggnog on Christmas day? One cup of eggnog without alcohol will set you back 342 calories. But if you're spiking that holiday drink with a little "adult" flavoring, you'll want to add about 80 calories per serving.
Baked Ham
A classic Christmas tradition, this dinner staple is around 345 for three slices of the entree. The good news-- much of that is protein.
Christmas Cookies
And who could pass up cookies for Christmas? Homemade sugar cookies are around 113 calories per cookie.. without the frosting. If you're cookies are decadently decorated, though, add on about 100 more calories.
Candy Canes
Of course we have to include these sweet treats! And no need to worry too much about the classic mint canes-- they're usually only 50 calories or so. Most of those calories do come from sugar, though.
