SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink has returned as the holiday season approaches.
The ice rink, located on 7th and K streets, officially opened to the public Wednesday and will continue to operate until Jan. 20, 2025.
General admission is $2 on opening day from 2-9 p.m. As for the rest of the winter season, general admission will be $15 for adults and $8 for children age six and under.
Tickets are available to buy at the rink. Admission includes skate rental. Skate sizes run as small as youth 8.
Veterans and active military members can get inside the rink for free with their military ID.
There will be seasonal discounts offered throughout the winter like $2 off for those who bring their own skates or have a same-day SacRT ticket or pass.
Other seasonal discounts include:
- $5 off with Dignity Health Card
- $5 off with Western Health Advantage card
- Free for Sacramento Kings Kids Club All-Star Members
What are the ice rink’s hours?
From Nov. 6, 2024, to Jan. 20, 2025, the ice rink will be open six days a week with Mondays being the only day it's closed.
The ice rink will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 2-9 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Special hours will be in place for the following holidays:
- Nov. 11 — Veterans Day: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Nov. 25-27: Daily 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Nov. 28 — Thanksgiving: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Dec. 23-Jan. 2: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve)
- Dec. 24 — Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Dec. 25 — Christmas Day: 12-9 p.m.
- Dec. 31 — New Year’s Eve: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Jan. 20 — MLK Day: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
