SACRAMENTO, Calif. — 8:40 p.m. update: Sacramento police say they have arrested 34-year-old Versey Ashford of Sacramento in the 6700 block of 50th Street after extensive follow up and investigation from officers and detectives.
Original story: Some roads in downtown Sacramento are closed as police investigate a shooting.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, it happened on the 700 block of 7th Street around 1 p.m.
Officers found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. No one is in custody for the shooting.
Police say roads are closed on 7th Street between G and H. Drivers should find an alternate route.
