Driver arrested after Sacramento bicyclist killed in hit-and-run

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A 63-year-old Sacramento man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly hit and killed a bicyclist before leaving the scene.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the accident happened at 21st and X streets around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, officers found a 55-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Around 9 a.m. Wednesday, patrol officers found the suspect’s vehicle on 19th and Broadway. The driver, identified as 63-year-old Payton Glynn, was stopped and arrested.

According to Sacramento police, Glynn will be booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and manslaughter.
