The King Fire covered 82,018 acres and was 17percent contained as of Sunday evening, Cal Fire reported. That means the fire grew by just 74 acres since Saturday night, the slowest growth of the week.

The fire ignited last week near Pollock Pines, about 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. Wayne Allen Huntsman, 37, of Pollock Pines, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of arson in connection with the blaze, Cal Fire officials said. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday. Huntsman is being held in El Dorado County Jail on $10 million bail, according to the jail's website.
