ELK GROVE, Calif. — Dozens of shoppers stood in line Thursday morning before Elk Grove’s newest business opened.
The Nordstrom Rack, located in Elk Grove’s The Ridge shopping center on Elk Grove Boulevard, officially opened its doors at 9 a.m.
But shoppers were ready to spend well before the doors opened, with a line almost wrapped around the 25,00-square-foot store.
According to a Facebook event posted by the store, shoppers who got there early were entered into a drawing for a $1,000 gift card.
The Ridge was first approved by the Elk Grove Planning Commission in 2016 and has a variety of restaurants and businesses, including Costco as its anchor location.
An Amazon Fresh location is also expected to open in the shopping center sometime this year, according to Pappas Investments senior VP of leasing Kelly Rule.
