ELK GROVE, Calif. — The Elk Grove Police Department is investigating a deadly crash on West Stockton Boulevard Friday night.
Officials say a woman driving a Nissan SUV northbound on West Stockton Boulevard around 6:49 p.m. They say she crossed over into the southbound lane and crashed into the field on the west side of the roadway.
Once officers arrived, they gave her medical aid but she died at the scene.
The roadways between Whitelock Parkway and Kyler Road were closed while officials investigated. It's unclear why she crashed.
