ELK GROVE, Calif. — A man died after a shooting in Elk Grove late Tuesday night.
The Elk Grove Police Department said the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. along the 2400 block of Maritime Drive. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites near Interstate 5.
Officers found a man in the area who died at the scene. His name hasn't been released. The Elk Grove Police Department said there was an argument before the shooting and a vehicle left the area shortly after.
The deadly shooting is under investigation.
