ELK GROVE, Calif. — The small-format Macy's in Elk Grove has officially opened.
That being said, its grand opening is still a few days away. That'll be on Aug. 24.
Traditional Macy's stores have been hundreds of thousands of feet in square footage, but the small-format stores, like the one in Elk Grove, are an effort toward sparking long-term sales growth, according to Macy's.
Macy's in Elk Grove is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. It's located at 7621 Laguna Boulevard, the same shopping center as Target and Michael's.
