Police in Elk Grove are on the lookout for a teen girl who’s been missing since Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say 14-year-old Melody Plath ran away from home just before 2 p.m. after having an argument with her parents.
Melody was last seen in the 9100 block of Waterman Road and authorities believe she may be traveling with her 15-year-old boyfriend. She is considered “at-risk” because of her age and because she uses prescription medication that she did not take when she left home.
Melody is described as a white female, approximately 5’6” tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue eyes. She is also wearing braces with teal-colored rubber bands.
Melody was last seen wearing a gray Champion sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and pinky furry slide sandals. Authorities say she may also be carrying a white backpack.
If you have any information regarding her whereabouts, you are asked to call Elk Grove Police at 916-691-5246.
