The residents of a home in Wilton lost one of their dogs and were left without a roof over their heads due to a fire Thursday.
Four dogs were in the home on Haggie Road at the time of the fire. Two were rescued, one was killed and another was missing, according to firefighters at the scene.
The tenants, who chose not to comment, were not home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
