A very grateful little girl wanted Elk Grove Police Department and of its officers to know how grateful she is for their service this holiday season, so she wrote them a very thoughtful letter.
The “very grateful citizen/fan” named Amanda wrote to remind Elk Grove officers this holiday season that she and the City of Elk Grove “are very grateful for you all.”
Amanda wrote officers, telling officers that “as a daughter of a fallen officer & step-daughter to a recently retired officer, I know the sacrifices you all make every day.”
In response, Elk Grove police took to Facebook to express their gratitude for Amanda’s kind card and flowers.
“Words cannot express how much we appreciate these types of gestures from residents,” police wrote on Facebook. “Amanda, thank you so much for the card and flowers.”
