EUREKA, Calif. — UPDATE: The tsunami warning was canceled just before noon Thursday, according to the National Weather Service and National Tsunami Warning Center.
BART has also resumed normal operations after temporarily stopping traffic in all directions through the underwater tunnel. Muni has also resumed normal operations.

Evacuation orders have been issued after a preliminary magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Humboldt County Thursday morning, leading to a tsunami warning.
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District, known as BART, has stopped traffic in all directions through the underwater tunnel between San Francisco and Oakland.
BERKELEY
The Berkeley Police Department announced through Nixle there's an evacuation order in West Berkeley. People are being told to stay east of 7th St.
The tsunami zone includes the following locations:
- Berkeley Waterfront
- Tom Bates Fields
- West Frontage Road
- I80 Freeway
- Aquatic Park
- Harrison, Gilman, Camelia, and Page, West of 5th St
- Jones, Cedar, Virginia, and Delaware, West of 6th St
- Hearst, West of 5th St
- University and Addison, West of 4th St
- All areas West of 3rd St
- Potter and Folger, West of 7th St
The estimated time of arrival to the San Francisco area is 12:10 p.m.
CRESCENT CITY
California State Senate President Mike McGuire tweeted around 11:12 a.m. that Crescent City in Del Norte County is under an evacuation order until further notice due to a tsunami warning.
EUREKA
The Eureka Police Department shared a photo of evacuation zones in the city.
