3 arrested in connection with killing of Folsom CVS Manager

Two of the suspects were arrested in Idaho and another in San Jose.

FAIR OAKS, Calif. — Three people are facing murder charges after killing a CVS store manager in Fair Oaks.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly shooting happened around 11 p.m. on May 3 at a home on the 4900 block of Hillridge Way in Fair Oaks.

Upon arrival, Sacramento County deputies found 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. He died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office says Zaystev was sitting in his car parked on the driveway of his home when the three suspects pulled up in a separate vehicle and fired three rounds.

Days later, two of the suspects – Michael Espinosa and Miguel Esquibel – were arrested in Caldwell, Idaho for parole violations.

Then, on May 9, detectives got murder warrants for the two men and a woman, Jeannette Nunes, who investigators say previously dated Zaystev. Nunes was arrested in San Jose.

The two men are awaiting extradition back to Sacramento County. Nunes is in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Zaystev was a manager at a CVS in Folsom along Madison Avenue, according to a CVS spokesperson.
