CARMICHAEL, Calif. — Update:

A SWAT team and heavy police presence near Landis Avenue in Carmichael successfully served an arrest warrant on a 37-year-old resident suspected of assault with a deadly weapon.

Officials with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said they received a report regarding the mental health of someone the author said was their son.

Because of the alleged assault and the suspect's access to weapons, the sheriff's office served an arrest warrant at his residence.

He was initially uncooperative, officials say, but ultimately 37-year-old Kyle Bimson was taken into custody at Sacramento County Main Jail without further incident.
