FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A Fairfield man was arrested and charged with murder for the death of a 25-year-old Fairfield man, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
According to a Facebook post by the Fairfield Police Department, Marceleno Roy Gonzales, 25, was arrested and charged with the shooting death of Alberto Rosando Perez, 25, of Fairfield.
On the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 11, the North Bay Medical Center alerted police about a man, Perez, being submitted with a gunshot wound. He didn't recover from his injuries and later died at the hospital.
Through their investigation, the Fairfield Police Department's investigations unit located the crime scene along the 1200 block of Tabor Avenue. During their investigation, they identified Gonzales as a suspect and with the help of the Solano County District Attorney’s Office, obtained an arrest warrant. Gonzales was later arrested in Vacaville with the help of the Vacaville Police Department.
Gonzales was booked into the Solano County Jail on charges of murder, felon/restricted person in possession of a firearm/ammunition, violation of his probation, and a violation of his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).
