FAIRFIELD, Calif. — The boyfriend of Erica Brown was convicted in connection to the Fairfield woman's death.
According to police, Mark Randle, 45 of Fairfield, was convicted in the 2023 murder of Brown. Brown was last seen at her home on Aug. 20, 2023 and was reported missing five days later.
Police suspected foul play in her disappearance and identified Randle, her boyfriend, as a suspect. Police said he was on the run for weeks before eventually being tracked to the Sacramento area, where he was taken into custody on Sept. 15, 2023.
The trial started July 10 and included evidence such as witness testimony, cellphone data, video surveillance footage, DNA evidence and license plate reader data.
Randle was found guilty by a jury on July 25 of murder in the first degree, according to police. However, Brown's body has still not been found.
