Family members of Alejandro Hernandez, the 6-year-old boy injured in the shooting in Rancho Tehama, say their small Northern California community will never be the same.
"I'm feeling very sad," Hernandez's aunt, Marta Monroy, told ABC10, while fighting back tears outside a small market they own in town. "Why do people shoot children that way, you know? They don't have the right to do that."
"If they want to kill themselves, they can do that, but not with innocent children," she added.

Monroy, and her daughter Anabel Garcia, said she the rampage on Tuesday -- which left five dead, including the gunman, and several more injured -- is the worst thing that's ever happened in Rancho Tehama.
"[Rancho Tehama] is very tranquil, laid back. It's not a very exciting town..everybody just kind of minds their own business," Garcia said. "It's definitely made an impact."
According to a GoFundMe account set up for the boy, 6-year-old Hernandez was shot in the chest and foot while playing on the playground at the Rancho Tehama Elementary School.
As of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, more than $5,000 was raised within hours of the campaigns creations. It has a goal of $6,000 to cover Alejandro's medical bills.
