ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. — A motorcycle rider died after colliding with a vehicle Saturday in the Arden-Arcade area, according to the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento office.
Officials said the crash happened at 1:05 p.m. near Eastern Avenue and Dennis Way, north of Marconi Avenue.
The motorcyclist, who was in his 20s, was traveling northbound on Eastern Avenue when a Prius, driven by a man in his 80s, was turning left from Dennis Way. Officials said the Prius went directly in front of the motorcycle.
Officials said the speed of the motorcycle is unknown at this time.
The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. There were no injuries to the Prius driver, the CHP said.
