POLLOCK PINES, Calif. — A person was killed after their car went offroad in El Dorado County Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials say the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near the Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines. CHP says the driver was in a Ford pickup truck and went off road for unknown reasons. They were not wearing a seatbelt.
Officials took the person to the hospital but died on the way, CHP says. An investigation is underway and no other information is known at this time.
