FBI offering $25K reward for Solano County homicide suspect's arrest, conviction

FBI officials say 31-year-old Mario Guadalupe Vasquez killed a young man during an attempted robbery in Fairfield in 2012.

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. — The FBI is now offering a $25,000 reward for the capture, arrest and conviction of a Fairfield homicide suspect.

Mario Guadalupe Vasquez was charged with homicide in 2013 after he was accused of killing 20-year-old Adrian Gutierrez Amaya during an attempted robbery the year before.

FBI agents got a federal arrest warrant for the now 31-year-old Vasquez after they accused him of fleeing prosecution, possibly to Mexico.

Vasquez is described as having black hair, brown eyes, standing at 5'7" and weighing 200 pounds.

Anyone with tips that may lead to his capture are urged to call their local FBI office or United States embassy or consulate.
