VINEYARD, Calif. — Five people were hurt after an accident in Sacramento County.
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the two-car accident was reported in the area of Elk Grove-Florin Road and Bridalsmith Drive. Fire officials said one of the cars was in the canal after the crash.
Five people were hurt, three of which were in the car found in the canal. One of those people was taken to the hospital with major injuries and two children were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Two people in the other car declined being taken to a hospital.
