2 hurt after car crashes into Orangevale home

Both the driver and a home occupant were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

ORANGEVALE, Calif. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into an Orangevale home Tuesday evening.

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the collision happened along the 6700 block of Almond Avenue.

Fire officials said crews had to remove the driver from the car and take them to a hospital, along with a person in the home.

The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation, but the fire district said the two adults had moderate injuries.
