FOLSOM, Calif. — Dolan’s Irish Bar and Grill in Folsom is closing.
The business along Blue Ravine Road never recovered from its original closure due to the COVID pandemic, according to a Facebook post published Wednesday.
“With a sad and heavy heart, we’re announcing the closure of Dolan’s,” operators wrote in the post. “Since the original closure due to Covid, we have been unable to thrive and survive. We thank you for your patronage and support over the years.”
Since the onset of the pandemic, the bar's liquor license was twice suspended by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which resulted in temporary closures, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.
Dolan’s stood in a strip mall sandwiched between Bank of America and Mr. Pickles. Patrons could choose from 16 beers on tap and several whiskeys and vodkas, according to the business’s website. There was a pool table, darts and Friday night karaoke.
No one picked up calls ABC10 made to the business Thursday afternoon, nor did attempts to contact the business by phone lead to an answering machine.
Dolan’s did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
