FOLSOM, Calif. — A grass fire was contained overnight in Folsom.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said Friday the fire broke out near Folsom Boulevard and Iron Point Road. Officials said it started in the heavy brush between the light rail station and the Folsom Premium Outlets.
Crews quickly put out the fire, which they say burned about an eighth to a quarter acre.
There was minor damage to some fencing as well. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
