FOLSOM, Calif. — TEDxFolsom is a speaker series aiming to foster and spread ideas within the Folsom community and beyond being held Saturday at the Harris Center.
The TED Conference, now an annual event each spring in Vancouver, British Columbia, provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized, according to the TEDxFolsom website. “TED” stands for technology, entertainment and design.
Matthew Loughran, TEDxFolsom’s executive director, told ABC10 the event encourages a community of innovation, inspiration and collaboration.
“Folsom, with its rich history, vibrant community and forward-thinking spirit, is the perfect backdrop for such an event,” Loughran said. “The city's blend of natural beauty and technological advancement creates an ideal environment for sparking creative discussions and nurturing innovative solutions.”
He said hosting TEDxFolsom underscores commitment to driving positive change and highlighting the unique contributions of our community.
Doors open at 9 a.m., and the event starts at 10 a.m. Lunch will offer three food trucks, including Cousins Maine Lobster, Limon Y Sal and Kado’s Asian Grill.
Tickets are available HERE. Prices range from $52 to $107.
