FOLSOM, Calif. — Calling all Folsom foodies! From sushi and spicy pizza to cheesy classics and Asian-inspired desserts, here are some new food spots that recently opened in Folsom.
The Melt
Located in the Palladio at 330 Palladio Parkway Suite 2023.
The Melt is a burger and grilled cheese restaurant chain in California. Launched in 2011, the ‘cheesy’ San Francisco-based restaurant also offers mac n cheese, salads and soups, patty melts and desserts including their popular shakes. They are now open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Bakemono Sushi
Located in the Palladio at 330 Palladio Parkway Suite 2045.
Bakemono is a Japanese term meaning “imaginary monsters." This restaurant takes you on a journey of traditional and fusion Japanese dishes. The menu includes all your favorite sushi entrees like spicy tuna roll, chicken katsu and beef teriyaki. They are open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tonno’s Bar and Grill
Located at 312 East Bidwell Street.
Tonno’s Bar and Grill is a family-owned and operated sports bar with a full menu and a variety of beers on tap. This is the sports bar’s second location in the area with one also in Orangevale. It's a local favorite in Orangevale and now Folsom folks can stay closer to home. An honorable mention from their menu includes the “Ultimate Bloody,” which is your usual “bloody Mary” but covered with deep-fried pickles and jalapenos, onion rings, cheese sticks, bacon and a chimichanga! The sports bar just opened and is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to midnight with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 a.m.
Curry Pizza House
Located at 1010 Riley Street Suite 4.
Curry Pizza House is an Indian-infused pizza joint. What makes this restaurant so special is the added curry flavors and other ingredients to make their spicy, delicious pizza. Curry Pizza House allows you to build your own pizza or you can go with one of the selections on the menu. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for March 23 at 12:30 p.m. They are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
T&5 Café and Bakery
Located at 195 Blue Ravine Road.
T&5 Bakery and Café is an Asian-inspired dessert café. The bakery has an original location in South Sacramento located at 8765 Center Parkway D300. From cakes to boba drinks, T&5 offers both sweet and savory options. The shop is open daily, except on Tuesdays. The bakery is currently open from noon to 5 p.m.
