Stabbing at prison in Folsom leaves man injured, first responders say

The stabbing victim's condition is not known.

FOLSOM, Calif. — A stabbing at a Northern California prison Sunday left at least one person injured, officials with the Folsom Fire Department said.

Firefighters say they were called to California State Prison, Sacramento in Folsom around 10:17 a.m. Sunday on reports of a 33-year-old man who was stabbed. Crews took the man to a hospital at 11:18 a.m.

Fire officials said extra crews were called to the scene due to the extent of the injuries. The victim's condition has not been released.
