Folsom ice cream shop to close after six years in business

Owner Mindy Le said she’ll miss most the community who showed an outpouring of support during the shop’s tenure.

FOLSOM, Calif. — Sweet Dozen Cones, a family-owned small business on Sutter Street in Folsom, closes Sunday.

The ice cream and dessert shop located in the Historic District will close after six years in business, according to owner Mindy Le. She said the business never financially recovered from COVID; the shop employed 10 people.

Le said the support Sweet Dozen Cones received from the community during its six-year run was awesome, and the community is what she’ll miss most after closing.

“While we are saddened by the closure of Sweet Cones, we are grateful for the memories, relationships and experiences we have gained throughout the years,” Sweet Dozen Cones posted on its Facebook page. “We will cherish these as we move forward. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey.”

Le told ABC10 she plans to save money for the possibility of a future business venture in Roseville.
