FOLSOM, Calif. — A man died while swimming at Folsom Lake Saturday evening.
According to California State Parks, authorities were called to the area of the Granite Bay boat ramp around 7:12 p.m. Divers and lifeguards went into the water and found the victim within roughly 18 minutes of the call being placed.
However, despite efforts from first responders, the man was pronounced dead on scene.
California State Parks aid the man was 37 years old and not wearing a life jacket.
