2-year-old pronounced dead after medical call in Folsom identified

The Folsom Police Department said the 2-year-old was found in a vehicle, but details surrounding the child's death haven't been released at this time.

FOLSOM, Calif. — A 2-year-old pronounced dead Sunday by fire crews in Folsom has been identified.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office confirmed Monday the child's name was Theo Peterson, of Folsom.

The Folsom Police Department said the 2-year-old was found in a vehicle, but specific details surrounding the child's death haven't been released at this time. Folsom police said there was a medical call in the area of Donnelly Circle involving a minor.

A spokesperson for the Folsom Fire Department confirmed the 2-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by their crews. The call came in around 6:45 p.m.

It's not clear what the medical call was or what led up to the child's death. Folsom police are investigating.
