FOLSOM, Calif. — From haunted houses to a comic book convention, the Folsom and Rancho Cordova areas have something for everyone this weekend.

Heartstoppers Haunted House: The Sacramento area hosts the Heartstoppers attraction amid the Halloween season for its 15th year.

Saturday, Oct. 19
Folsom State Prison & California State Prison (CSP) Sacramento’s Fall Festival and Breakout Car Show: Including attractions like a trunk-or-treat, a breakout car show, prison tours, a haunted house, a rib cook-off and food trucks, the prisons welcome those to their fall festival.

2024 Spirits, Brews and Bites: Historic Folsom hosts a beer and spirits crawl, which organizers said is like trick-or-treating — but for adults. Live music will play on every block, and tickets are limited.

3rd Annual Witches on the Lake: Organized by Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance, a nonprofit based in Roseville, this family-friendly event sees paddleboarding and kayaking around Folsom Lake to trick-or-treating stations on the water. There are opportunities for donations.

Sunday, Oct. 20
Folsom Con: The first Folsom Con at the Folsom Community Center aims to be a fun day for all of Sacramento's comic book hobby enthusiasts whether they're into collecting comics, selling their collection or just curious. The event will host vendors.
