It’s going to be very cold Tuesday night heading into Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Freeze Warning for The Valley and Foothill areas, starting tonight into tomorrow morning.
Temperatures will drop to 28 degrees Fahrenheit. These cold conditions could kill vegetation, so bring in plants that are sensitive to the cold or cover them up. Take time to insulate exposed pipes, bring in pets and make sure livestock is sheltered from the cold.
The last time we had temps below freezing?
Just a few days ago, Stockton had a low temperature right at the freezing mark. Sacramento (31 degrees), Modesto (27 degrees) and Vacaville (32 degrees) had their last freezing mornings at the beginning of this year. Redding had their last chilly morning nearly a year ago with a low temperature of 32 degrees.
Here’s a great reminder on how to dress for the cold.
