A four-alarm grass fire forced homes on Alamo Drive in Vacaville to evacuate Friday afternoon, according to officials.

A four-alarm grass fire forced homes on Alamo Drive in Vacaville to evacuate Friday afternoon, according to officials.

The fire is on the hills west of the Grandview area, according to Vacaville police, on Pena Adobe Road near westbound Interstate 80.

The Vacaville Fire Department said the Oaks Center is a designated evacuation site and the Red Cross is being called to help.

Mandatory evacuations are in effect for Hillside Court and Grandview Drive, off of Alamo Drive.

Voluntary evacuations are in place west of Alamo Drive to Foothill Drive.
