SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Crews battled a vegetation fire in South Sacramento they said was started by a remote control aircraft Saturday morning.
Sacramento Metro Fire said the grass fire burned two acres in a rural area on 10890 Florin Road. Crews were able to stop forward progress, as there were no structures threatened and no injuries reported.
Following an investigation, officials said the cause of the fire was accidental by a downed remote-control aircraft similar to one below in a photo shared by Metro Fire.
