Person wanted for attack on Elk Grove Baskin-Robbins employee now in custody

Police say Hazel Shaver was agitated after ordering food and chased employees around the Baskin-Robbins/Togo’s on Laguna Boulevard before assaulting an employee.

ELK GROVE, Calif. — Hazel Shaver, the 44-year-old wanted for an attack on a Baskin-Robbins employee, is now in custody.

According to Elk Grove police, Shaver turned themselves in over the weekend and is now being held on a $500,000 bail.

Shaver was wanted for felony assault in connection with an attack at the ice cream shop in early July.

Police say Shaver was agitated after ordering food and chased employees around the Baskin-Robbins/Togo’s on Laguna Boulevard before assaulting an employee and throwing items all over the ground.

An arrest warrant was issued for charges of battery causing bodily injury, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and vandalism.
