AMADOR COUNTY, Calif. — One man is dead after being ejected from a car along Highway 49 in Amador County Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a green Subaru was heading northbound on Hwy 49 at Bell Road when it drifted onto the east roadway edge. Police said it overcorrected and hit a wall.
The driver, only identified as a man, was ejected from the car and ultimately died from his injuries.
It's not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
