CAMERON PARK, Calif. — One person is dead after an accident along eastbound Highway 50 Monday evening.
The California Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist left Highway 50, east of Cambridge Road, in El Dorado County and hit the guardrail. He died at the scene. Police don't know why the motorcyclist left the roadway.
The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. and the motorcyclist was only described as a male.
It's not clear if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
