CERES, Calif. — Police pulled over a box truck that had several people unrestrained in the cargo area while on Highway 99 Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a box truck was reported on the highway with a partially cracked rear door, showing several people standing in the cargo area. It was reported near Ceres just before 8 a.m.
After a traffic stop near Kerman Avenue, CHP found five men standing in the back and another man sitting on a bucket between the driver and right-front passenger.

Police said the driver didn't have a license and the truck was ultimately impounded. Citations were also given out for seatbelt violations.
Police don't suspect smuggling in the incident, and believe the men were trying to sell flowers that were in buckets around the truck.
