If you purchased Target Up & Up flushable toddler wipes at any U.S. store you may be able to cash in on some money.

A class action settlement recently received preliminary approval by a federal court in the Northern District of Ohio, according to Spangenberg, Shibley, & Liber LLP and Tycko & Zavareei LLP-- the law firms representing the suit.

The lawsuit claims the wipes don't "break apart after flushing" as the packaging claims, resulting in costly sewer issues for homeowners.

Target issued this statement to ABC10:

Target recently reached a proposed class action settlement for Up & Up flushable toddler wipes sold in Target stores from April 2010 to October 2014. While we deny the claims brought forward, and stand by the quality of the products, we think it's in the best interest for everyone involved to settle this matter and move forward.

If you bought the Up & Up wipes between April 18, 2010 through October 31, 2014 without proof of purchase, you may be eligible to receive a gift card or coupon for a capped amount based on your purchase. The cap for the gift cards is no more than 20 units at $1.35 per unit (up to $27). The cap for coupons is 20.

With proof of purchase, you may be eligible to receive gift cards or coupons for Up & Up wipes packs based on the amount purchased with no cap. If you have proof of purchase for more than 20 units, you may receive either a gift card for $1.35 per unit or 20 coupons for the first 20 purchases and a gift card in the amount of $1.35 for each additional purchase.

The wipes in the settlement were under the "Buckeye" product line, which was discontinued on October 31, 2014. The claims don't relate to any Up & Up flushable wipes sold after October 31, 2014, including the current product.
