SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente plans to build an eight-story hospital in the Railyards area, according to plans filed with the city of Sacramento.
The acute care hospital would be 657,000-square-feet with 310 beds, emergency and surgical departments, and other hospital-related functions.
"Kaiser Permanente is fully committed to building a state-of-the-art medical center at the Railyards in Sacramento to expand access to care in our community. We have filed public documents about our plans with the city planning department which is the next step in a process that includes reviews and approvals," Kaiser said in a statement to ABC10.
Also included in the project is a 171,500-square-foot medical office, a 32,500-square-foot central utility plant, a seven-level parking garage with 1,500 stalls, a 200 stall surface parking lot and some site improvements.
