ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Roseville's Kristen Brown took "The Voice" by storm and she's heading back to her roots Thursday for a special performance at Roseville's tree lighting.
"I am so excited to be performing at the tree lighting as I have loved all of Roseville's Christmas events since I was a little girl," Brown told ABC10.
The tree lighting is Nov. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Vernon Street Town Square with the actual tree lighting to happen around 6:10 p.m.
Brown is performing right before Mayor Bruce Houdesheldt speaks at the event. She said she will sing a "holiday favorite that everyone knows." However, she said it wouldn't be her original song, "Christmas Spirit."
Other activities are planned for the tree lighting including cookie decorating, visiting Santa, a kid's activity zone, music, food and celebration. The city's website even says snow is expected in the weather forecast!
Brown started off on Gwen Stefani's team on "The Voice" but was saved by John Legend during the Knockout Rounds when she performed “This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride. The country singer performed “Need You Now” by Lady A in the playoffs, but didn't advance to the live shows.
"My experience on The Voice was like living in a dream. I am so grateful to Gwen and John for believing in me and for being such amazing coaches. This is just the beginning and I hope you all will stay on this journey with me. I have some surprises I will be announcing very soon so stay tuned," Brown told ABC10.
Brown is also doing a holiday tour called "The Christmas Spirit Tour" with upcoming performances in Folsom, Lincoln and more.
