ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A Roseville singer is set to perform the National Anthem at the NFL Christmas Day game.
Kristen Brown will perform ahead of a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens.
"I am so excited to sing the National Anthem for my family’s favorite team since the beginning of time the 49ers," Brown wrote in a Facebook post.
She competed on "The Voice" earlier this year singing hits from Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" to Celine Dion's "That's the Way It Is."
Brown started the competition on Gwen Stefani's team on "The Voice" but was saved by John Legend during the Knockout Rounds when she performed “This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride. The country singer performed “Need You Now” by Lady A in the playoffs, but didn't advance to the live shows.
Brown also shared a picture of herself as a child in a 49ers cheerleading uniform along with her announcement on social media.
"When I found out I would be singing the National Anthem at the 49ers game at Levi's Stadium, I immediately called my parents. My mom is a die-hard 49ers fan, as is the rest of my family. This was the ultimate Christmas present and best way to celebrate the holiday with those I love and who are celebrating from above," Brown told ABC10.
The game is Monday, Dec. 25 at 5:15 p.m. on ABC.
