LODI, Calif. — There'll be a party at Lodi Lake for this Fourth of July.
Lodi Lake has been closed for an improvement project, but that will change on July 4. The lake is once again open to the public for "4th of July at the Lake, An American Festival." The area will have improved pavement for the parking lot, underground utility upgrades, new concrete paths of travel, new restrooms, playground equipment and more.
Aside from the beach and improved amenities, there'll also be some vendors and fireworks show to keep the party going.
Here's what to know.
Fourth of July in Lodi
The event starts with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Prices for those 13 years and older is $12, from five to 12 is $8 and children under five are free.
However, once the pancake breakfast wraps up, the lake will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Only vendors will be allowed in the area for setup. However, during that period, the boathouse will be open for reservations.
The fun can restart at 2 p.m. when the gates reopen to the public. The beach will be open for swimming from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. And vendors will be operating from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The main event, however, is still the fireworks show. There's not an exact time for the event, but generally, it'll start when it gets dark outside, roughly 9:30 p.m.
No parking will be available on the west side of the lake and the nature area will be closed. A map of the closed areas can be viewed HERE.
The park reopens to the public on July 5, with only a few areas staying sectioned off to finish construction. Those will include some bathroom facilities, the playground and shelter at Hughes Beach.
