LODI, Calif. — A minor died after being shot Saturday night, Lodi Police officers said.
According to investigators, the shooting was first reported to police around 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Hale Road. Medics took the boy to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In a Facebook post, the Lodi Police Department described the deadly shooting as a "targeted incident." Officials say the investigation is active and that investigators are still working to identify the shooter.
Detectives are asking witnesses and people with information to come forward.
