Olga Myshnova, 23, was arrested by Lodi police on Monday, Jan. 27, 2015.

A woman was arrested in Lodi after the bomb squad detonated explosives found in her SUV Monday afternoon.

Olga Myshnova, 23, was booked into San Joaquin County Jail for possession of destructive devices and two counts of shoplifting, Lodi Police Lt. Sierra Brucia said.

Just after 1:35 p.m. Monday, Lodi police responded to Walmart on West Kettleman Lane for reports of a shoplifter. But, Myshnova left the store before officers arrived and went across the street to Marshalls. Brucia said Myshnova then allegedly stole more items from Marshalls and headed back to her SUV.

Officers reached Myshnova as she got into her SUV, which was in the Marshalls parking lot. Brucia said officers found two devices that looked like pipe bombs during a search of her SUV.

After the Lodi Police Department Bomb Squad was called to the scene, it detonated the devices and rendered them safe. Brucia said an initial investigation showed the devices were in fact "explosive in nature."

Brucia said the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Lodi Police Department at (209) 333-6727 or Crimestoppers.
