SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is reporting another mountain lion sighting. This time, it was reported in the area of Peltier Road in a Lodi area orchard.
This comes after the sheriff's office reported a mountain lion sighting on May 18 in the Acampo area. However, they weren't able to find it. At the time, they called on people to bring their animals inside and stay indoors themselves. Deputies echoed those concerns Monday after the mountain lion sighting in the Lodi area. Sheriff's office spokesperson Heather Brent said it's likely the same mountain lion that was previously spotted.
"We want to emphasize again that we are aware that Mountain Lions are inherently dangerous and ask that you please remain vigilant and keep your pets indoors," deputies said.
Deputies are asking anyone if they see anything to contact them at (209-468-4400, Option 1).
