Lodi shooting leaves 1 hurt

Police arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder and weapons violations.

LODI, Calif. — Officers with the Lodi Police Department arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder and weapons violations after a shooting that left a man hurt.

According to police, the shooting happened before 11:59 p.m. Friday near Cherokee Lane and Elm Street. One person was hurt and is now in stable condition, officers say.

After the shooting, police served a search warrant in the 500 block of Elm Street where they found the17-year-old suspect and arrested him. Officers booked him into juvenile hall.

Officials have not disclosed what led up to the shooting.
