LOOMIS, Calif. — A new Costco location in Loomis is scheduled to open in April. The Costco is located at Sierra College Boulevard and Brace Road, near the border of Rocklin.
After years of back and forth, Loomis and Rocklin reached an agreement to build Costco in Oct. 2022.
"Loomis is looking forward to the Costco project completion. The retailer will be a great addition to the area commercial businesses as diversity in the marketplace adds opportunity for the surrounding businesses to be exposed to patrons that might not otherwise shop at the surrounding businesses," Town Manager Wes Heathcock told ABC10.
As part of the agreement, Costco will make $3.75 million in payments to Rocklin to mitigate impacts along the Sierra College Boulevard corridor, according to the settlement.
This Costco in Loomis will not have a gas station, according to the settlement.
The proposed 155,000-square-foot warehouse could bring more than $1 million in annual tax revenue for Loomis. It would be the largest commercial development in the town's history.
A new Costco in West Roseville is planned at the northwest corner of Baseline Road and Fiddyment Road. Costco already has a location in Roseville at 6750 Stanford Ranch Road near the Westfield Galleria at Roseville.
