2 adults hospitalized after rollover crash on I-80 in Auburn

CHP says three young children were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — Two adults were hospitalized after a rollover crash Monday afternoon on I-80 in Auburn.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 30-year-old woman from Stockton was going west on I-80 near Ophir Road when she hit the center divider and her Ford Expedition overturned.

The driver was taken to the hospital with major injuries while her passenger, a 39-year-old, was taken to the hospital for a fractured leg.

Three children, ages 9, 8 and 2 were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

All lanes were blocked due to the accident but they’ve since reopened.
